The name N id comes from the French word “nid” for “nest“, “a deux” means two, together (persons).
In August 2015, after 10 years since the inception of N id, the 2nd project of the Dune Architectural and Interior Department had been realized. With an expanded product range covering from Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, Lifestyle Goods to Interior products as well as plants, n id a deux, our women’s select-retail-store opened its doors right next to the men’s store, N id.
The core-concept of N id has been transferred and correlated in between the two sibling stores: the simplicity and the transparency of the interior and exterior spatial-design-language are, consciously, kept the same. They are determined to adapt and emit different stages of identity-development according to the various and constantly evolving characters and personalities according to the artists utilizing the space.
n id a deux is an attempt to not only display the fashion’s seasonal cycle, but to present the whole spatial identity: products and artworks in correlation and coexistence to their surroundings. Both becoming essential elements.
